Job title: Fabricator Welder

Responsible to: Welding and Fabrication Supervisor

Department: Welding and Fabrication

Job purpose:

  • This role would be suited to an experienced and qualified Fabricator Welder on a permanent basis.

  • To be successful in the role of Fabricator Welder you must have previously worked as a Welding Technician, Fabricator or Coded Welder, who has demonstrable experience.

  • A time served fabricator welder to strengthen and develop our workforce/team.

  • A team players and open minded person who is willing to work alongside other departments to meet project requirements.

  • We would also be happy to look at newly qualified apprentices with hunger and enthusiasm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Confidence to solve problems and make decisions.

  1. Ability to work on own initiative.

  1. Ability to work under pressure.

  1. Willing to work overtime, and be reactive to short notice.

  1. Keen to work within an extremely busy and varied work environment.

  1. Ability to fabricate and weld to a high standard and work to tight tolerances.

  1. Ability to read from CAD drawings and ensure implementation according to welding specifications.

  1. Experience in aluminium MIG welding would be most advantageous and TIG would also be an asset.

  1. Working knowledge of metal working machinery and equipment

  1. Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products.

Person Specification:




Possess GCSE (or equivalent) standard Maths & English


Experience / Knowledge    
Can demonstrate experience in Fabrication Welding


Ability to fabricate and weld to a high standard and work to tight tolerances  


MIG (metal inert gas), MMA (manual metal arc), TIG (tungsten inert gas).


Health and Safety regulations/awareness  


Able to form effective working relationships with other team members.


Flexible, able to cope under pressure


Must possess a positive attitude to work and work Related problems
